Manager coaching

Turn a pipeline review into a useful decision.

Prepare a deal, agree on the next step and review the work with your manager using HubCoach guides and assigned plans in HubSpot.

Start with one process

What makes the work harder

The meeting becomes a round of asking for updates. The representative fills fields, but the team still cannot explain what the customer agreed to or which decision needs support.

Agree on a practical standard

Start with one deal and one decision. Separate confirmed information from assumptions. Agree on the next action, the person responsible and when to revisit it. Review what makes the work difficult before prescribing more training.

How to support it with HubCoach

  1. Adapt the “Review a deal without chasing updates” plan template to your team.
  2. Create an assigned copy for the person preparing the deal, choose a date and link the HubSpot record. Its next pending step is available under To review in the extension.
  3. Review the actual record together. Use the next-step card for a criterion, an example and an exception; adjust the guidance if the instruction does not fit.

What still needs your team’s judgment

A checked plan step records progress, not an automatic judgment of work quality. HubCoach does not listen to meetings or change CRM properties for the representative.

What to review in a pilot

Can someone else continue the deal from its recorded next step? Did the review produce a decision? Track unresolved exceptions separately from completed steps. These are team review questions, not an invented coaching score.

Start with a case your team can review

Choose one process, a small audience and an actual record. Review the guidance with the person doing the work, publish when it is ready, and revisit the exceptions. Reading a guide or checking a step does not by itself demonstrate sustained adoption.
