What do read, write and field definitions mean in HubCoach?

Check what an integration can do before troubleshooting a rule. Checking permissions shows the connection’s current access; it changes nothing.

What are the steps?

  1. Open Organization and expand the connection permissions panel.
  2. Choose a connection and run Check permissions.
  3. Reading lets the app consult records. Writing allows changes to their existing values. Field definitions describe which fields and choices exist.
  4. A successful read check does not prove write access. “Not verified” means there is not enough evidence.
  5. Object Library refers to additional predefined HubSpot object types. It is separate from field definitions and our knowledge library.

What does it look like in practice?

  • Example

A rule may read a deal successfully while a direct integration write remains unverified. The native editor still follows your own HubSpot permissions.
